The SPUSA Process

From the initial meeting to departing to the US and beyond, we equip student-athletes with the focus, confidence, education and ongoing support to thrive in the classroom, on the field, and in life.

PREPARATION

Dedicated to preparing our student -athletes to be presented to USA University coaches in a professional and impactful way. Activity includes: registration with the governing bodies of collegiate sport, entrance exam preparation, video filming and editing, coach interview preparation and together we collate a professionally branded student – athlete profile to present to our extensive network of USA University coaches.

COACH CONTACT

Student -athletes are coached by our team of mentors and educators how best to communicate effectively with USA University coaches, an important life skill but also critical to maximising scholarship opportunities. This phase includes meeting coaches, researching scholarship offers, assessing the suitability of each opportunity and providing the support for each student-athlete to ultimately choose their right fit University.

VISA & ADMISSIONS

Once you have chosen your University, there is a detailed process involved to complete an admissions application, visa applications, enrolment into first semester classes, accommodation, clearance from the governing bodies to compete and signature of scholarship papers. Our team also provides you with an easy to follow pre- departure checklist to become ready for college.

LIFE IN THE USA

As you begin your US college journey, our aim is for you, the student-athlete, to be happy and thriving in your new environment. Therefore, we provide support and mentoring throughout your whole college experience, whether it’s celebrating improved academic and sporting results or supporting you through periods of homesickness.
